Star Trek Online to be a serious MMO

The Star Trek MMO has risen and fallen so many times and has been passed around between and linked to so many studios is the last few years. It seems STO has final found a good home as famed MMO focused studio Cryptic Studios has full control of the game from the ill fated Perpetual Entertainment.
This as revealed with the relaunch of the Star Trek Online official site complete with community forums a few days ago with a new countdown that should end the big revelation of actual gameplay, more screenshots and information about this highly anticipated MMO game at the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas.
As a huge Star Trek fan I am excited and looking forward to playing this game when it is eventually released hopefully next year.
I’m closely watching this too. I seem to be drawn into MMOs that are unique (City of heroes, The Matrix Online, etc) Luckily I haven’t had the urge to get sucked into MMOs, but this may be what brings me out of retirement.
