Spore is a dissapointment, find out why
Spore has been coming for a long time now and I posted about it’s release window back in May and eagerly anticipated it’s release. Now it’s here and I’ve played it for a day and it is crap for so many reasons not just the ridiculously restrictive digital rights management (DRM) software it comes packaged with. to put my feelings about Spore into one word I’d say that Spore is “underwhelming”, Will promised us so much but instead gave us so little but I can’t help but think that most of the blame lies with EA.
Spore is taking a beating from angry customers who are voicing their opinion on why the hate Spore so much (mostly because of the DRM). Amazon.com reported a “glitch” that only affected the negative reviews of Spore on their site that added even more controversy to the pot, was it truely a glitch or an attempt by one of the world’s largest online retailers to silence customers?
Pirates immune to DRM
It is my opinion the DRM software is obsolete and only serves to frustrate customers (see gamers bill of rights) but my personal feelings on DRM is whole new posts all together and although spore has one of the most restrictive DRM ever it’s on track to become if not already the most pirated game ever according to Forbes….but it’s not like I’m one of the pirates now….or am I? *insert evil laugh here*

It would be good DRM issues was the only problem with Spore and then I’d be forced to end this rantish post with something positive about the game, but sadly Spore really is well delayed, overhyped shovelware whose discs should be used as coasters in a mental hospital. In closing I present to you 10 reasons to avoid Spore.
