Random Spam Comments from strange IP Address
Over the past day or so I’ve been getting multiple spam comments from a series of ip address and I am clueless as to how to stop them. Searching the blogosphere has made me realize that it seems to be a problem that targets wordpress blogs and there is no way to stop it right now other than banning the ip address from visiting your site.
The ip addresses are 94.102.60.150, 94.102.60.151, 94.102.60.152 and 94.102.60.153 and all the comments seem generated from a random name and email but are all producing a weird mixed set of numbers and letters. From traceroute abd Whois information I know the ip address originate in the Nethelands or the capital city of Amsterdam to be exact.
I’ve not blocked the ip address yet, I’ll see if more comments arrive over the course of the night.
