PlayStation Home Delayed…again
Playstation Home is a community service in development for the Playstation 3’s Playstation Network. Home is like an avatar service for the Playstation allowing users to create a “sims-like” character and interact with other PSN users worldwide. Home was first announced at the Game Developers Conference in March 2007 but has repeadly been delayed as the developers aim to fine tune the service as it will be an integral part of the entertainment offerings of the Playstation and Sony. The service is expected to exit beta and be available to Playstation 3 owners in late 2008.

I am looking forward to Home, and while many people are upset at the repeated delays I am quite happy, mainly because I don’t own a PS3 yet so the longer they delay the better for me. Hopefully I should acquire a PS3 later this year as I wait for the big games to drop, to be “wowed” at E3 this year and of course while I wait for Home – which I have high expectations for. Check out a video trailer/demonstration of Home in the video below.
