Wii getting special Metroid Prime Trilogy
The Metroid series of games will always hold a special place in my video gaming heart because Metroid Prime 2: Return of the Samus was one of, if not the first game I enjoyed playing though on the original game boy well over a decade ago. Super Metroid made me want to propose to Samus and I was disappointed that a core Nintendo franchise like Metroid was not present on the Nintendo 64. Nintendo soon atoned with a double serving of Metroid on the Gamecube and the 3rd Metroid Prime game was a big selling point from the day the Wii was announced.

Metroid Prime fans are rejoicing at the annoucement of a special trilogy package of the Metroid Prime Games all on one Nintendo Wii disc. It will go on sale August 24 2009 and will cost only $50. I wonder if any freebies will be packaged as well? The compilation disc is being developed and updated with Wii-style controls by Retro Studios, the US based studio responsible for developing the original games.
