Gears of War 2 Leaked and Banned
One of the biggest video game releases this year has been leaked online almost 3 weeks before it’s official release date. Pirates have already gotten their hands on Epic’s triple A game and thousands of filesharers are downloading or have downloaded the game.
It really sucks as I’ve already seen the ending, understood the story and all the multiplayer reworking. I am not naive and ignorant to the practice of modifying video game consoles but I really don’t like when a highly anticipated game is pirated weeks before it’s release, and this is happening more and more. The video game industry is threatened by such practices.
Banned in Germany and Japan
Early pirating may be a surprise but it’s no surprise that Gears of War 2 is banned in Germany and Japan. The first game was banned there so it was safe to predict that the sequel would be banned as well.
