Dragon Age: Origins – Sacret Ashes Trailer

Dragon Age: Origins is easily one of the biggest game releases of the year. The RPG is described by Bioware as being a ‘dark heroic fantasy’ story that will be told on an epic scale with mature themes. There are many trailers, gameplay video and developer diaries for Dragon Age, I have embedded a recent action packed cinematic trailer entitled “Sacred Ashes” below.

The game will be released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in North America on November 3, 2009, and in Europe on November 6, 2009; BioWare has stated that the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be released on November 17, 2009.

Microsoft recently announced a $100 price cut on its Xbox 360 Elite model, bringing the 120GB console down $299, the same as Sony’s recently revealed PS3 Slim. The 60gb Pro model will enjoy a temporary $50 price drop until all stocks are sold out while the hard drive-less Xbox 360 Arcade unit remains at $199.

Microsoft’s Project Natal could be huge

I’ve seen the press conferences from the big three and each had their own interesting bits bit Microsoft’s conference was most entertaining overall. The biggest announcement made during their conference though and maybe the biggest news of E3 2009 is their Project Natal.

Project Natal is the code name for a “controller-free gaming and entertainment experience” by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform. Microsoft kicked off E3 2009 with a 2 hour-plus press conference ripe with massive annoucements and lots of surprises. I don’t even know where to start but I know that Sony and Nintendo will have a difficult time bettering Microsoft’s show. Below are some of the major announcements made by Microsoft this year with special bias on the things I care about.

An avalanche of rumours and information leaks are taking the internet by storm but one of the most interesting of these rumours is the one about Microsoft secretly developing a digital entertainment handheld code named “xYz” to compliment their Zune music player and Xbox 360 video game system.

The device is expected to be able to play games, play media, and do various Internet-related activities. If true this could easily be the biggest news of E3 2009 but for now we just have to wait until the show begins on June 2 to see what secrets Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony have up their sleeves.

After getting my excited for almost 2 years before it was finally released I was underwhelmed by my Assassin’s Creed experience and though it was an overhyped game.
