2009 Bafta Awards – Video Games

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts gives out various awards each year but I am usually just interested in the video games category. Fifteen video game Baftas were on offer with Grant Theft Auto IV and Call of Duty 4 being nominated for the most. Super Mario Galaxya nd COD4 were the winners of the biggest awards.

  • Strategy: Civilisation Revolution
  • Best use of Audio: Dead Space
  • New Talent: Boro Toro
  • Multiplayer: Left 4 Dead
  • Best Technical Achievement: Spore
  • Original Score: Dead Space
  • Handheld: Professor Layton and the Curious Village
  • People’s Choice: Call of Duty 4
  • Artistic Achievement: LittleBigPlanet
  • Best Action and Adventure: Fable II
  • Best Game: Super Mario Galaxy
